About Me

Hello, I am Melissa Gonzales, LPC

I am a Colorado Native who grew up in a small mountain town. I came to Fort Collins for College and moved away to explore other parts of the country yet, like a boomerang, always found myself coming back. My Undergraduate Degree is in Nutrition and Dietetics and I have a Master’s Degree in education and Counseling. I have worked as a middle school counselor for 10 years. As a middle school counselor, I witnessed the healing power of neurofeedback first hand. I was fascinated by the impact neurofeedback had to help students cope with anxiety, depression and ADHD. The more I researched the more I knew this was the next step in my career. I am now neurofeedback trained and feel blessed to be a part of the healing process with clients. I have a passion for working with kids of all ages and adults, helping them navigate life’s eves and flows. Life presents obstacles and challenges and I’m here to support you through your journey.

Through neurofeedback I can help you and/or your child optimize brain function and maximize potential to live life to the fullest. Neurofeedback has been shown to help decrease anxiety, decrease depression, improve focus, improve sleep, alleviate migraines, help decrease symptoms after a head injury, and more.

I enjoy a diverse counseling practice working with children, teenagers and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression and other life challenges. My goal is to create a safe and accepting environment for you to grow and explore. Counseling with me is a warm, safe, non-judgmental place to be yourself.
